This would tackle key issues like device malfunctions, enable real-time monitoring and flag inefficiencies in interconnected systems comprising IoT medical devices.
Their ingenuity impressed the Telstra representatives on the judging panel and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» emerged as the overall winner in their pool, before finishing second behind Copenhagen Business School in the finals.
¡°This experience has been transformative and we¡¯re really happy with our effort considering this is our first competition outside Asia,¡± said Josephine Andrea who served as the team leader.
¡°I felt intimidated by the calibre of students from renowned universities at first. But I chose not to focus on the skills gap and give my best. In the end, it¡¯s fine to face stronger competitors - what matters is personal growth and continuous learning.
Reflecting on her experience, Yi Xuan said that she learnt a lot about resilience during the competition from her Lebanese peers.
¡°I was inspired by the team from the American University of Beirut who gave their all despite the turmoil that is going on in their country,¡± she said. ¡°Watching them reminded me that perseverance is key under all circumstances.¡±
¡°This experience has greatly boosted my confidence, giving me a stronger belief in my ability to achieve the goals I set for myself,¡± said Wei Fang. ¡°I now understand that failures are just temporary setbacks; as long as I keep working hard, I can reach my goals.¡±
