27 SepTan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah joins Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Group, playing significant roles at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Hospital and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» University
KUALA LUMPUR ¨C Former Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has been appointed as chairman of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Healthcare Group.
In his new role, Dr Noor Hisham will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Hospital ¨C a state-of-the-art private hospital in Port Dickson and other subsidiaries under Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Healthcare.
He will serve as a visiting consultant surgeon in breast, endocrine and general surgery.
Dr Noor Hisham has also been appointed as an adjunct professor at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» University, where he will contribute to clinical training programmes and medical research.
Welcoming Dr Noor Hisham, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Group CEO Prof Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir said that the organisation would benefit from his expertise and extensive experience in public healthcare policy.

Dr Noor Hisham retired as Health director-general in April 2023 after 35 years of public service. He served as director-general for a decade.
He received multiple awards for his contributions in public healthcare and his leadership during the pandemic.
He was also recognised by China Global TV Network as one of the world¡¯s top three doctors leading the fight against Covid-19, alongside the US disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci and former New Zealand health director-general Ashley Bloomfield.
