Overview

This programme combines commerce with specialisations in accounting and finance which will allow graduates to pursue careers that require these complementary disciplines. Students will study accounting, business law, auditing and financial management as well as key business fundamentals that prepare them well to succeed in the global marketplace. Internship opportunities at the end of each academic year will also provide valuable exposure to real-world practices.

English Language Requirements
  • Minimum B+ in the English Language subject at SPM or Minimum A2 in UEC level or Minimum C in SPM English Language 1119/ O Level English/ IGCSE or MUET Band 3. If English language requirements are not met, applicants will be required to take the Basic English and English Foundation for in-sessional academic enhancement concurrently with the programme.

For international student:

  • IELTS minimum Band 5.5
  • TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum 46
  • Cambridge English Qualification and Test minimum score of 160
  • Pearson Test of English minimum score 51
  • MUET minimum Band 3
International applicants who do not meet the respective academic programme¡¯s English Language Requirements will need to improve their proficiency by enrolling into the English for Tertiary Education programme (R/KJP/00920-00929).

Placement into the various levels of the English for Tertiary Education programme depends on the English Language qualification students have at the point of admission and/or the outcome of the English Placement Test.

The applicants who have met the respective academic programme¡¯s English Language Requirement may be advised by Faculty to improve their proficiency by undertaking additional English proficiency courses.
