It was a warm and cosy night of catching up with friends and making new ones during the Friends for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Night organised by Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ on 1st June 2007 to f¨ºte its friends and partners. 

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­¡¯s President and Vice Chancellor, Peter T. S. Ng kick-started the event with his welcome remarks. He said, ¡°This is a great event where we can share ideas and knowledge of the industry, its needs, and also, up-date each other on the opportunities and challenges faced by our stakeholders and community at large.¡± 

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­¡¯s Chancellor, Tan Sri Datuk Panglima Dr. Abdul Rahman Arshad said, ¡°Although I have been with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ for a short span of time, I see across this room, faces of many Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ friends and new partners. Tonight is an opportune time to build on this friendship and continue to enhance our good relations with each other.¡±The evening was an informal affair with lots of opportunities for friends of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ to mingle and network. There were party games, lucky draws and the karaoke session whereby some hidden talents were discovered. Dato' Hj. Mohd. Karim bin H. Abdullah Omar, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­¡¯s Chairman to its Board of Directors, and Professor Dato' Dr. Mohd Roslani Bin Abdul Majid, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­¡¯s Dean from the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing, also took to the stage and serenaded the appreciative crowd. 
Friends of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ at the event were: Tan Sri Ahmad Al-Farra, Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Fellow from the Embassy of the State of Palestine; Professor Dr. Mahani Bt. Zainal Abidin, Director General of ISIS, Malaysia; Dr. Mohamed Nasser Mohamed Noor, Director at the Ministry Of Higher Education; Dato' Nik Zainiah Nik Abd.Rahman, Director General of the National Productivity Council (Perbadanan Produktiviti Negara); Deputy Superintendent of Police, Oh Seng Ghiap of the Royal Malaysia Police and Ms. Norma Norell, President of Elite Model Management Malaysia.
